Terms of Service

Effective August 2026 · HailPass is operated by Arboreal Studios LLC, Denver, Colorado.

The service

HailPass sends weather alerts — primarily hail warnings — for street addresses you register. Email alerts are free for one address. A paid season pass adds SMS alerts, additional addresses, and a morning outlook digest.

Text message program (HailPass Alerts)

HailPass Alerts sends automated weather alert text messages for addresses you register.

Opt-in: you enroll on the web form at hailpass.com by providing your mobile number and checking the consent box, then confirming by email (double opt-in). Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

Frequency: varies with the weather. Typically 0–4 messages on a storm day, capped at 2 nowcast alerts per day per address. Quiet hours are respected overnight.

Message and data rates may apply.

Opt out: reply STOP to any message and texts end immediately. Reply HELP for help, or email support@hailpass.com. You can also pause or delete everything from the manage link in any message.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our privacy policy — mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing.

Not an official warning source

HailPass is a convenience service built on public NOAA/NWS data. Radar estimates hail; it does not guarantee it. An alert is a head start, not a promise — and the absence of an alert is not a promise either. For life-safety decisions, always follow official National Weather Service warnings.

What you agree to

Register addresses you have a genuine connection to, keep your contact details current, and don't scrape, resell, or rebroadcast alerts as a service. We may suspend accounts that abuse the system.

Liability

HailPass is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arboreal Studios LLC is not liable for damages arising from missed, late, or inaccurate alerts — including damage from hail itself. We work hard to warn you in time; we cannot control the sky.

Payments and refunds

Season passes are one-time payments covering the current hail season (April–October). If HailPass isn't working out for you, email us and we'll make it right.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email to subscribers.
